Chicago has always been an epicenter for the voice of the people: a place that values true aesthetic functioning as voice over what is clean and good. Chicago has never faltered–the design focused energy of the city is spoken visually in the streets. Chicago remains an unwavering tastemakers of authenticity; expressing true voice coming forward in its artists and designers. We question what is "good" and who decided it so. The culture of decided superiority based on an arbitrary standard bleeds into our visual landscape. We question those in power who set the precedence of good and bad. We know that good design sucks! Creating a response to the question: when did we all get boring? Chicago never has been.
