As both a painter and designer, I am constantly curious about where my practices merge. Inspired by my messy stash of paint supplies, I hand-painted the graphic of this tote bag, thinking about the comical contradiction of the loose spirit of my paintings compared to the polished nature of my design work.
Despite working in free strokes, I habitually integrate design principles in which I have been educated in. Either way, jumbled or tidy, I focus on finding passion rather than distinguishing between disciplines. Therefore, I hope this bag can serve as a reminder of the pleasures of creativity, and be a home for other’s artistic supplies and personalities.
