Chicago is a city where design and architecture speak to one another with intention. Its identity is built from textures, shifting lines, and a sense of organized spontaneity that gives the city its unique rhythm. In this digital graphic artwork, I translated that feeling using energetic colors to depict three iconic buildings: Marina City, Aqua Tower, and the St. Regis Chicago, the last two designed by architect Jeanne Gang. As a woman artist and designer, I feel a particular connection to her work and to the ways women shape the visual and cultural landscape of cities. This piece reflects my fascination with Chicago’s visual language and the dialogue between structure and expression. My work seeks to honor that balance, capturing a fragment of the city’s pulse in a single graphic gesture.
